Analysis of U.S. stock market outlook: Limited gains expected next year, experts believe market vitality will decline

The U.S. stock market has shown remarkable performance this year, bringing joy to investors. So far, the S&P 500 index has risen by 21.87%. However, analysts predict that the market's vibrancy may diminish by 2025.

According to a survey by the consumer finance service company Bankrate, many top analysts seem to take a cautious view regarding the next 12 months. The company's Q3 market expert survey indicates that experts expect the U.S. stock market to rise only 4.1% in the coming year, significantly below the long-term average of 10%.

Respondents predict that by the end of Q3 2025, the S&P 500 index will rise from the current 5738 points to 5975 points. At the same time, analysts believe that value stocks will outperform growth stocks.

Mark Hamrick, a senior economic analyst at Bankrate, stated, "Given the numerous uncertainties, we have reason to maintain a cautious outlook. Nevertheless, the resilience of the U.S. economy and the stock market's ability to withstand multiple threats remains extraordinary.
